RELIABLE SOURCES OF INFORMATION
Hey guys, this week I´ll be sharing with you the useful sources of information I use to create my blog posts and I will be explaining to you guys why I find them interesting and helpful.
First of all, I use important online magazines such as Vogue or Elle. It´s kind of obvious that these websites are really useful to search information about fashion as it is their main topic. It´s extremely helpful as they talk about current events, looks that are in style at the moment and influential people related to the topic. Furthermore, I find the display of these websites are super convenient as everything is laid out in way where it´s really easy to find whatever information you are looking for.
Second of all, I find social media platforms such as Pinterest or 21buttons are good sources to get inspiration. Let me explain this, I don't get information from there as they are social media networks where people post pictures of their outfits, but I think it´s a good way to look for trends that are going on at the moment and from there go on to look information about those trends to be able to post information that's useful and updated.
Another good source of information when it comes to fashion could be the fashion website Fashion United which is an online page that provides all types of information related to this topic. You can find late news and events regarding fashion that will take place shortly among others. Also I find it super interesting as it includes a tab where they help you find a job or scholarship involved in the fashion world. Just as the magazines mentioned before, the information is really well displayed and presented which makes it easy and fast to find it.
I personally also use paper books. This might sound a little weird to some of you, as nowadays we pretty much use the internet to look for every piece of information we need. However I think books are sometimes much more helpful and complete that any kind of website. The only drawback I find when it comes to looking for information in books is that it can take a little a longer but I think information is usually more reliable and rich. Some examples of books that I use are Fashion now, which talks about hundreds of fashion designers from different periods and their jobs and it´s written by Terry Jones or Diseño de Investigación, which is written by Simon Seivewright and talks about the process of creating different clothes items.
Finally, I also really enjoy asking my older sister about this topic as she has studied fashion design for four years and she loves talking about it.
