THE IMPORTANCE OF FASHION IN MY LIFE
Hey guys, it's Morgana here. I´m a bilingual journalism student and as a university project, me and two other classmates have created this blog. For a topic, we chose fashion as we all are passionates about it and we thought it was wide topic to talk about. For the first post, we were asked to talk about our connection with fashion, so here we go.
As I see it, fashion is a way of art, that's way I think the way you dress says a lot about you. Personally, I consider myself as a very shy and introverted person, so I find that fashion is a way to express myself without having to even speak. I love making up looks and combining clothes till I find something that really represents me.
Since I was little, I have always loved fashion. I would always take my mum's and older sister's clothes to dress myself up and play. It was something I really enjoyed doing. Apart from that, I remember when I was about 5 years old, my older sister who has always been interested in the topic too (she actually just finished studying fashion design) discovered some notebooks called TopModel which included the outline of a model, so you could draw your designs on top. When I saw my mom bought her one of those, naturally I asked for one too and I got it as a Christmas present. I remember spending hours and hours drawing and painting my designs and bringing them to school so I could show them to my friends. I still have those notebooks somewhere in my room.
As time passed by, I got older and stopped using those kinds of notebooks but was still interested in fashion so I looked for other ways to learn more about the topic. I then started buying fashion magazines such as Vogue(https://www.vogue.es) or Elle (https://www.elle.com/es/)and once I had read them I would cut off all of the looks, makeups and other images that I liked to create different collages and mood boards. I also love to look up for looks on Pinterest, which is a social media network that has tons of pictures about anything you can imagine, so when I don't know what to wear I go there and look through my fashion folder to get inspiration. Instagram is also a really good platform when it comes to fashion, as nowadays there's lots of influencers that post their looks there and tag the clothes so you can directly buy them from the link, which I also really like as it's a easy and confortable way to find clothes I like.
