IMPORTANT EVENTS 2019

Hey guys! it´s Morgana here, today I will be talking about some of the most important and influent events of the fashion world that took place in 2019.

Lady Gaga at the Met Gala

The 2019 Met Gala took place the 6th of May and was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York. The aim of the event is to finance The Costume Institute and it's an opportunity for big brands to show their most flashy designs worn by some of the most famous singers, top models and actors among others. The theme for this year was the #campfashion which, briefly explained, is a style that is frequently related to the queer world and the drag ambients. this year some of the most original and different looks were worn by Lady Gaga, who started the event wearing a pink dress and as she walked across the red carpet she took it off and had a black dress underneath and another pink one after and finally she ended up in a bra and panties.

Another attractive dress was the one wore by Jared Leto which was a Gucci design. The dress is not the most interesting part as he also had a replica of his face under the arm.

I consider this event important as it is one of the most relevant events when it comes to fashion as tons of famous people go and wear the most extravagant looks designed by big fashion designers.

Another important event concerning fashion this year, was the photoshoot that Hailey Baldwin, a really famous top model, did imitating the famous pictures princess Diana for her death anniversary. She modeled for the influent magazine Vogue. She imitated two looks. The first one, wearing a blazer and some brown cowboy boots along with some light washed jeans. The second one, composed by an oversize red sweater along with some black biker shorts.

I think it was an important event as it was an homage to princess Diana who was an icon when it comes to fashion. 

The third important event was the alliance between the famous brand Chloe and the UNICEF  association. This year, these two important companies did an agreement through which the fashion enterprise will collaborate during three years by donating  the money they raise by selling the two jewelry pieces (bracelet and necklace) and the t-shirt they launched for the cause. The money raised will be designated to a UNICEF project that supports gender equality in third world countries. I find it interesting that an influent fashion company invests on a good cause to help young girls have the same opportunities as boys.
