IMPORTANT FASHION EVENTS OF 2019
Hi everyone, Nagore here! Today I will be talking about one of the most important fashion events that happened in 2019.
Firstly, I will be talking about the Notre Dame fire of 15 April 2019. But the question you are all wondering is: Why does this relate to fashion? The answer of this is quite easy: Because after the Notre Dame fire a lot of luxury fashion brands donated huge quantities of money to rebuild the parisian cathedral. The multimillionare businesses Gucci and Louis Vuitton donated 260 million pounds. With this charitable action, the fashion industry fused with the art.
Secondly, the Victoria's Secret fashion show won't be broadcasted on TV anymore. One of the most famous fashion shows in lingerie industry will not record the models in the catwalk mainly because of 3 reasons. Firstly, the business wanted to make their shows more exclusive so only the high elite can go. Secondly, Edward Razek (the chief marketing officer) stated that in a 45 minute fantasy show would never fit plus size and transgender models. Thirdly, the show lost a lot of the audience in 2018 compared to previous years.
Thirdly, in 25th February 2019 oscars red carpet was taking place. One of the highlits of the day was Billy Porter's outfit. He totally broke all the rules of society when he suddently appeared with a black dress which amazed everyone attending the event.
